Hosted by the Foundation for Sustainable Forests, this is a premier in-the-field forestry event featuring guest presenters, horse-logging demonstrations, and woods walks demonstrating different sustainable forestry approaches that have been utilized on the woodlot over the years.
Session topics include new approaches to sustainable forestry, legacy planning and conservation options for woodland owners, the pre-colonial landscape in this region, and current research findings related to forests in this area.
A picnic lunch and children's programming will be provided.
This is an excellent venue for woodlot owners, foresters, conservationists and the like to come together to explore best practices in sustainable forestry for this region today and for the future.
