How many acres of woodland do you own or annually manage?
Please describe, with two or three sentences, why you are interested in woodlot ecology and management. Your answer helps us ensure that only those people truly interested in woodlots are added as members.
We have a very small forest that has been nearly totally decimated by NYSEG and Asplundh in the last 3 years and I have been trying to replant trees to rebuild our tiny forest. I also turn wood and need to learn chainsaw safety. While I will not cut down trees as I leave them up as long as possible for the woodpeckers, if one comes down, I want to know how best to cut it up and reuse what I can on my lathe. Thank you.
