I'm a newbie to ForestConnect. While I own just a small number of wooded acres, my home is surrounded by one of Rochester's largest public parks - Mendon Ponds Park. My original contact with Peter was with regard to harvesting and drying time for standing deadwood but a brief review of posts on this sites stimulates many other ideas about living in woods. I look forward to reading more about "laying yards" for mushrooms and tapping the many maples which surround our home.
