As an ethologist, I have been extremely concerned about deforestation, as soil & forest biology is poorly understood, in local & globalwarming connections.
For 25 years, I have worked to manage our Hemlock/ mixed hardwoods forest, while protecting & valuing it. Seeing forests only as a firewood/ lumber commodity is short sighted.
