This workshop will help participants advance their knowledge of natural and artificial forest regeneration, how forest
management influences carbon dynamics and the use of novel technologies to measure forests more efficiently. The emphasis on
regeneration includes presentations related to deer impacts and strategies to control competing/interfering vegetation. Participants
will visit slash walls of different ages, novel use of brush walls for afforestation, historic forest growth plots, and see applications of
terrestrial LIDAR technologies
