SUMMARY:Silviculture 2017
DESCRIPTION: Some of the presentations may be a bit hard to follow for
those not fluent in forester speak, but otherwise a great opportunity
to get a heavy dose of silviculture stuff. \n\nPlease join us for a
day of seminars for forest practitioners on uneven-aged silviculture,
exploitative harvesting, rehabilitation, and interference, representin
g the work conducted with or are reflective of the work of Distinguish

ervice to ESF. In honor of Dr. Nyland's dedication for mentoring stude
nts and to providing outstanding continuing education and real-world s
trategies to forestry professionals, each speaker will summarize resea
rch results to provide practical guidance to managers.\nPresenters, ma
ny of whom got their starts under Nyland’s tutelage, hail from the U
S and Canadian Forest Services, extension programs, as well as from ES
F’s Departments of Forest & Natural Resources and Environmental & Fo
