 e Malmborg from the NYS Hemlock Initiative for a presentation about re
 search updates and management of hemlock wooly adelgid (HWA).\n \nIn 
 this talk you'll learn about the importance of hemlocks on our landsca
 pe, the threat of HWA, the present and future of HWA management in Ne
 w York, and how you can be involved in slowing the spread of HWA in yo
 ur area. Hemlock trees are a foundation species in our forests and are
  threatened by the invasive HWA. The New York State Hemlock Initiative
  addresses this threat through research, management practices, and out
 reach.\n \nThis workshop is intended for all, including beginners jus
 t learning about hemlock trees and HWA, as well as those with intermed
 iate knowledge and/or skill looking to stay updated and engaged.\n \n
