  Riparian Buffer Establishment Workshop and Tour from 9:30am-3:30pm. T
 he morning will consist of indoor presentations from \n\nDr. Bern Sw
 eeney and David Wise (Stroud Water Research Center), talking about str
 eam and river ecology, and the importance of riparian buffers and low
  cost methods for establishment;\nBeth Roessler (Hudson River Estuary 
 Program)- methods for establishing trees and shrubs and her experience
 s from the Trees for Tribs Program in NY\nArt Gover (Penn State)- weed
  control methods for tree and shrub establishment and invasives\nAaron
  Ristow (Upper Susquehanna Coalition)-projects underway in the Upper S
 usquehanna watershed\n\nIn the afternoon, the following presenters and
  topics will be covered:\n\nPaul Salon and Shawnna Clark (USDA NRCS)-f
 ield projects at the PMC relating to tree and shrub establishment\nJim
  MacKenzie (Octoraro Nursery)-nursieries perspecitive on plant stock, 
 care, and handling and conservation plantings over the past 25 years.\
 n\nCCA, SAF, and DEC pesticide credits will be available (waiting on a
 pproval and credit values)\nLunch and refreshments will be provided.\n
