DESCRIPTION:Want to help in the fight with Emerald Ash Borer? We’re 
 looking for First Detectors who want to:\n\nBecome a local expert who 
 can answer EAB biology and management questions.\nAid in the community
  preparedness planning process\nEngage others as volunteers to monitor
  for EAB, conduct street tree inventories, collect ash seed and educat
 e about the issues surrounding Emerald Ash Borer\n\nThese training ses
 sions will go over in-depth details on EAB biology, signs and symptoms
 , hosts, control and management, reporting, and resources through pres
 entations and hands-on field activities at near-by EAB infested locati
 ons. Materials have been created by Cornell University and the Northea
 st Plant Diagnostic Network. These workshops are supported by the Nort
 heastern IPM Center- IPM Partnership Grant.\nWho should take this trai
 ning?\nAnyone that is concerned about EAB. But especially if you are a
 :\n\nCornell Cooperative Extension employee\nCornell Cooperative Exten
 sion volunteer (Master Gardener, Master Forest Owner, Master Naturalis
 t, 4-H Leader)\nPRISM partner (Partnerships for Regional Invasive Spec
 ies Management)\nSWCD or NRCS employee\nArborist\nForester\nLandscaper
 \nPlanner\nEnvironmental Educator\nMunicipal Employee\nCommunity Volun
 teer\n\nFirst Detectors can give back.\nThere is huge public demand fo
 r answers on what to do about EAB. As a trained EAB First Detector, yo
 u’ll have those answers. We hope that you will be able to help the g
 reater community by sharing your EAB knowledge, participating in commu
