DESCRIPTION:Want to help in the fight with Emerald Ash Borer? We’re 
 looking for First Detectors who want to:\n•Become a local expert who
  can answer EAB biology and management questions.\n•Aid in the commu
 nity preparedness planning process\n•Engage others as volunteers to 
 monitor for EAB, conduct street tree inventories, collect ash seed and
  educate about the issues surrounding Emerald Ash Borer\n \nThese tra
 ining sessions will go over in-depth details of EAB biology, signs and
  symptoms, hosts, control and management, reporting, and resources thr
 ough presentations and hands-on field activities at near-by EAB infest
 ed locations. Materials have been created by Cornell University and th
 e Northeast Plant Diagnostic Network. These workshops are supported by
  a Northeastern IPM Center- IPM Partnership Grant.\n \nWho should tak
 e this training?\nAnyone that is concerned about EAB. But especially i
 f you are a: Cornell Cooperative Extension employee; Cornell Cooperati
 ve Extension volunteer (Master Gardener, Master Forest Owner, Master N
 aturalist, 4-H Leader); PRISM partner (Partnerships for Regional Invas
 ive Species Management); SWCD or NRCS employee; Arborist; Forester; Lo
 gger; Landscaper; Planner; Environmental Educator; Municipal Employee;
  or a  Community Volunteer\n \nFirst Detectors can give back.\nThere
  is huge public demand for answers on what to do about EAB. As a train
 ed EAB First Detector, you’ll have those answers. We hope that you w
 ill be able to help the greater community by sharing your EAB knowledg
 e, participating in community preparedness activities, or monitoring f
 or EAB.\n \nWorkshop Details- each session includes classroom portion
  and a field portion. We may end  at a different location than the cl
