Event Description

Yates County Cornell Cooperative Extension and the Master Forest Owner Volunteers are hosting a workshop on March 8th with registration at 8:30 and the program from 9:00 – 1:00 at the Yates County Building Auditorium, 417 Liberty Street, Penn Yan, focused on succession planning.  This interactive presentation will be facilitated by Dr. Shorna Broussard Allred, Cornell University Cooperative Extension, who will provide effective tools that families can use to decide the future of their land.  This workshop will give you some good ideas on how to get the discussion started and provide a host of excellent resources to help make the process of ownership transfer focused and smooth.  While the focus of this workshop will be on woodlands, the tools presented on are also applicable to farmland succession planning.  So whether you’ve got woodland, farmland, or both, please join us for this workshop.  Cost is $10.00 per family.

Pre-registration is required, please call Yates County Cornell Cooperative Extension at 315-536-5123.
